How Are Rough Cut Boards Different?
Over time the lumber industry has favored uniformity and quick dry times over full size boards. If you are renovating or repairing an old home you may find stock 2x4 are not the same size. Southern Pine grows faster and has less rings per inch. Our rough cut 2-inch nominal board will measure 1-7/8 inch.
